Alright, so for the first real blogging, of the site, I want to take a second to talk about Fire Emblem Fates. I finished the first two campaigns and have started the 3rd neutral campaign like four times. For the life of me, that shit keeps corrupting my save data. I am dedicated to beating this damn game. I haven't played a Fire Emblem game since the GBA game with Lyn uhh. The Sacred stones. This one, which I was able to remember via the internet.

Remember her?

Anyway, I beat that game and it took forever and was really hard. So I ended up being really surprised how easy Fates was, maybe I just older and way more skilled at video games. I mean, I beat X Com and that was the last Strategy type game that I have played. and honestly Fate had very little depth. I pretty much beat Conquest and Birthright by having Corrin and my child absolutely destroy everyone in site and it was no challenge whatsoever.

About ten chapters into Birthright I realized I wasn't here for strategy, I was here for the S-Links. I was here to play match maker for every character here, and that, while not what I signed up for, was pretty cool. Yeah, the parent stuff is kinda whatever, every dad has the same kid, and the children just have the hair color of their mom, but still its a fun and unique concept that was pretty well executed.

So why am I here blogging?

I wanted to talk about this.

I was surprised that I enjoyed this game, and really want to beat it, despite it not really being what I wanted from the start. I just wanted to take a minute to say that, just because a game is strange, or different from what you expect, that doesn't mean the game is bad or not fun. I really enjoyed S-Link Simulator: Fire Emblem Edition. I wanted to quit early into Birthright cause the game was so easy, but I stuck with it because I wanted to give it a chance. If I had quit, I wouldn't of had fun, forcing my half-brother (Takumi) to marry the littlest loli girl in the game. Or getting my bad-ass Lobster Cosplaying older brother to start banging the Team Ninja designed Ninja Lady.

Go outside your comfort zone, try different games. You might find yourself enjoying the games that you never would have given a chance. Just because you dislike something at first doesn't mean it wont win you over later.

Oh and I know I'm late to play this game. I just thought it was a good example to tell people to broaden their horizons. Also Camilla for Conquest play through. Rinkah for Birthright, and I married Kagerou, lost my save, Hinoka, lost my save, started as a girl the other two times. Got with the Wolf Guy cause he was cool, then Tsubaki, Now on my fifth playthrough I'm gunna let "fate" decide my next waifu.
