So a little while back Charlie Murder made its return onto Steam, originally and Xbox Arcade game it is a beat em up from Ska Studios that I never got to play. You see I ditched the 360 soon after the release of Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, Ska's previous game. So as a result I never had a chance to play this game. Considering how much I adore beat-em ups (I plan to play quite a few on the channel at some point) I was sad I never got a chance to play, especially due to how much I loved the Dishwasher games and Salt and Sanctuary.
Well I got it the day it came out and have been loving it. The thing I love about indie games is how they can provide us with things that main line big companies would never provide. IE Charlie Murder. You play as member of the band "Charlie Murder" And through out the game you learn of their rise and fall. You also learn just how much of a dick Charlie actually is and was. Minor Spoilers, but you learn that he abandoned his best friend and immediately let the fame go to his head, that is part of why the game's event even take place.
The game itself is not only fun to play, full of diverse and interesting game play, but also full to burst with comical and awesome references. From Symphony of the Night, to Birdemic Shock and Terror. It's a crazy zany, and most of all fun game that you can't get anywhere else. I highly recommend it. Plus if you like the music, (which is also pretty good, but not really my cup of tea) you can pay what you like for it on bandcamp! I bought it to help support the Devs. That's it for now, have a great day!
